The department of women and child development of the state of UP gave us the task to work with the children of the after care home at varanasi. Guria’s holistic experiment has already set a model which is now being replicated by other homes of the state of Uttar Pradesh in north india. The whole idea is to work on the self by taking the child into the world of inward journey through the tool of Art – painting, music, dance, theatre, photography, videography, shouting class, laughing class, meditation, gardening, feeding the birds etc and connect them to the entire existence around us. We are greatful to the Principal Secretary Ms Renuka Kumar and the Probation officer Mr Prabhat Ranjan for giving us this opportunity.
