This week, students from the university of Wisconsin visited our education center in Shivdaspur, the red light area of Varanasi. Guria has been connected with the University of Wisconsin for many years.
News about the french team from PSB Paris School of Business
For the third time we have the pleasure to welcome a french team of volunteers from PSB Paris School of Business ! They are here to bring their support to our work and continue to improve the living conditions of the children. Here is a little sum up of their actions for Guria : - Cleaning and creating theater. - Making wrist band. - Sponsoring a hand pump. - Teaching at the boat school and red light area center. - Taking the children to the water park. - Practicing different activities such as wall painting, dancing and different games
Educational Workshops
During the last 3 years Guria organised 67 workshops with 6700 children from different schools and colleges at the Indo-Nepal border(both source and transit area) to make the children aware about human trafficking since these children are the softest target for the traffickers.These children are also the best means to percolate the message within their families and society.
