Massive Thanks to the students from Smith College, Northampton (UK)! the students visited Guria's non formal education centre in May, and upon returning they created a little bit of India back here   and ran a fundraiser including selling chai, samosas and scarves, painting henna tattoos and telling others about Guria!

New Lockers and New Clothes July 2014

Image
Guria would like to say a big thank you to Monique Epstein, her husband, Matthew Epstein, and a number of their friends for donating clothes to the children of Varanasi’s red-light area. Our gratefulness is well-reflected in the smiles of t he children wearing their new clothing. Some of the pictures also show the children pointing to their individual lockers that they use to keep their personal belongings… The day was also celebrated with a special meal served to the children. Once again, the Guria family conveys their love and gratitude towards Monique Epstein, Matthew Epstein, and their friends in the USA. We hope to see you and your friends again at Guria.
