A national record : 61 brothels seized worth over INR 120 carores($ 182 million). GURIA simultaneously wrote an application to the district administration and filed a PIL in the honourable high court to rescue minor trafficked girls from the Allahabad red light area in north india. On the request of the district administration GURIA officially submitted the details of recce operation, rescue map, spy cam video clips, photographs, plan of action, criminal histories of traffickers, identified brothels, list of traffickers etc which was then again submitted by the administration to the honourable chief justice of high court. Fourteen team leaders of GURIA lead the police teams for rescue and 12 lady counselors counseled the victims. We rescued 134 victims from the indian states of Karnataka, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal. 48 brothel keepers/traffickers were also arrested. Guria's open shelter for children is scored 'excellent'
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow submitted a " A REPORT OF SOCIAL AUDIT OF CHILD CARE CARE INSTITUTIONS (CCI's ) IN THE STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH" to the department of women and child development, Government of Uttar Pradesh. In this Report Guria's open shelter for children scored - A GRADE (excellent).
The department of women and child development of the state of UP gave us the task to work with the children of the after care home at varanasi. Guria’s holistic experiment has already set a model which is now being replicated by other homes of the state of Uttar Pradesh in north india. The whole idea is to work on the self by taking the child into the world of inward journey through the tool of Art – painting, music, dance, theatre, photography, videography, shouting class , laughing class, meditation, gardening, feeding the birds etc and connect them to the entire existence around us. We are greatful to the Principal Secretary Ms Renuka Kumar and the Probation officer Mr Prabhat Ranjan for giving us this opportunity.
Guria rescues 36 bonded laborers of chhattisgarh state
On 29th march 2016 Guria rescued 36 bonded laborers of chhattisgarh state from the district of unnao in uttar pradesh.The District Magistrate and the Sub divisional Magistrate were very cooperative in the rescue operation.
57 Bonded Labours Rescued in District of Maharajganj
